Newtown Rotary Club

Rotary members of Newtown, Llanidloes, Oswestry, Oswestry Borderland and Welshpool had the pleasure of the company of this years GSE team from Japan. Rtn Saty’s team gave a presentation to Rotarians and guests at a packed Newtown Football Club.
A dynamic light-hearted presentation was given by the young Rotarians highlighting how the exchange would benefit their home clubs and professional development in Japan. It was their first presentation in the region and was enjoyed by all.

President John Harries and Rotarian Bryn Evans present a cheque for £500 pounds to Ann Lewis on behalf of the Tree of Light.

Community Service Award: We awarded this Rotary award to George Morgan for his charitable work and especially in raising money for the British Heart Foundation.
