Newtown Rotary recently collected £420 from a Saturday collection on the high of Newtown. The moneys raised will be used to donate two Community Aqua boxes. The Aqua Boxes contain water purification equipment.
Currently more than 14 million people are believed to have been affected by the flooding and 1,500 people are thought to have died.
Newtown Rotary is proud to support the Aqua Box campaign in Pakistan and would like to thank the residence of Newtown for their continued support.

Newtown Rotary welcomed members of the Stourport on Severn Rotary club who are walking the length of the Severn way from Plynlimon to Bristol.
The objective of the club is to walk the Severn Way in stages as a relay over a 16 day period to raise money for charity. These charities include shelterBox, Muscular Dystrophy and a local charity called Headway. Details of the walk can be found at www.severnwaywalk.co.uk.
Rotarians and members of the public can walk one or more stages, some of the stages are broken down into sub stages so you can walk as little or as far as you would like.
