The Rotary Across Wales Walk

The Rotary clubs of Newtown, Llanidloes and Machynlleth congratulate all who took part in the 2016 walk. In all, 155 people reached the finish at the Anchor. Well done.
The 2016 walk was held under nearly ideal conditions and all were in before 9.00 pm - a remarkable effort.
Every year, some of the walkers collect sponsorship; in 2016 they contributed £25,000 to their favourite good causes - a brilliant effort; well done to all.

The date of the 2017 walk is Saturday June 24.

The full walk is 41.4 miles, but it is possible to partake in shorter sections – 26, 16 or 6 miles. The shorter section is ideal for children and families.
The full walk starts just south of Machynlleth. Other sections start at Staylittle, Llandinam or the Devils Elbow. Transport is provided from Newtown to the start points. The walk ends at the Anchor, just over the border into Shropshire. Transport back to Newtown is available from the Anchor.
Meals are provided during the day and water is available at all the checkpoints.
This is an ideal opportunity to enjoy the magnificent scenery of mid-Wales, to get fit or to raise money for your favourite charities.
We look forward to seeing you in June 2017
